Van 2 t/m 5 oktober 2025 vond de tweede editie van het Kunstenfestival Borkel en Schaft plaats. Het thema, THINKING LANDSCAPE, sloot naadloos aan bij het concept van kunst in situ. Het bood kunstenaars de vrijheid én de uitdaging om een dialoog aan te gaan met een specifieke locatie en de omgeving actief onderdeel van hun werk te maken.

The second edition of the Arts Festival Borkel en Schaft took place from October 2 to 5, 2025. The theme, THINKING LANDSCAPE, aligned perfectly with the concept of art in situ. It offered artists the freedom and the challenge to engage in a dialogue with a specific location and to actively make the environment part of their work.
Bezoekers wandelden en fietsten langs verrassende locaties waar kunstenaars het landschap nieuw leven inbliezen. Van kerk tot koeienstal, van diepe achtertuin tot het Molenhuis: overal was iets te ontdekken. Ook de optredens en lezingen zorgden voor een inspirerend programma. Het festival bracht bewoners, kunstenaars en bezoekers samen in een sfeer van creativiteit en verbinding. Dankzij ieders inzet, gastvrijheid en enthousiasme kunnen we terugkijken op een prachtige tweede editie van het Kunstenfestival Borkel en Schaft. De organisatie bedankt alle kunstenaars, vrijwilligers, bewoners, sponsors en bezoekers die dit festival mogelijk maakten.
Visitors strolled and cycled through unexpected locations, where artists brought the landscape to life in new and surprising ways. From the church to the cowshed, from hidden backyards to the Mill house, there was something to discover around every corner. A programme of performances and lectures added an extra layer of inspiration. The festival created a space where artists and visitors could come together in a spirit of creativity and connection to the community. Thanks to the dedication, hospitality, and enthusiasm of everyone involved, we can look back on a fantastic second edition of the Arts Festival Borkel en Schaft. Thanks!
