Ventilatoren, wissers, bedradingen, perspectieven, houdingen, versnipperaars en aandrijvers. Gedragen in hangende composities, staande stellages en liggende constructies. Verstevigd met hout en metaal, dat het restje was van de vorige eigenaar, en gecombineerd met onvoorspelbare tweedehands objecten. Door mijn liefde voor spullen en fascinatie voor verzamelen vinden de afgedankte materialen een nieuwe plek in mijn sculptuur.

Aandachtig en zorgzaam verbind ik gevonden en afgedankte objecten in een sculptuur. Ik ontdoe objecten van conventionele contexten en interpreteer ze opnieuw in mijn beeld: Een platenspeler wordt een draaimechanisme. Ik verken grenzen van materialen, neem hun inherente eigenschappen serieus en geef ze een nieuwe vorm. Zijn materiële mogelijkheden eindeloos transformatief?

Zoekend naar houdingen en verhoudingen, kom ik natuurwetten tegen die universeel en onveranderlijk zijn. De objecten wekken herkenning bij de toeschouwer, en brengen verrassing van vervorming teweeg. Mijn belangstelling voor verbinden, aanpassen en aanvullen, is een uitnodiging om deze verhoudingen te ontdekken.

Fans, wipers, wires, perspectives, postures, shredders and actuators. Carried in hanging compositions, standing frameworks and reclining constructions. Reinforced with wood and metal, leftovers from the previous owner, and combined with unpredictable second-hand objects. In my love for items and fascination with collecting, these discarded materials find a new place in my sculptures.

Attentively and carefully, I connect found and discarded objects and strip articles of their conventional contexts. These are then reinterpreted in my sculptures: a record player becomes a rotating mechanism. I thoroughly explore the boundaries of materials, take their inherent traits seriously and grant them a new form. Are their material possibilities endlessly transformative?

Searching for postures and proportions, I encounter laws of nature that are universal and unchanging. The objects evoke recognition in the viewer and bring about the surprise of transformation. My fascination in connecting, adapting, and complementing acts as an invitation to discover these relationships.
