De synthese tussen geest en materie – In deze context zweeft mijn werk. De rode draad in mijn werk gaat over transformatie, leven en dood, licht, vernieuwing, het opleven; ONS BESTAAN. Het woord transformatie laat zich op vele manieren zien; zowel in de overgang van het fysieke, (het materiële), als in het niet fysieke ZIJN.

Om tot nieuwe inzichten te komen onderzoek ik de verhoudingen tussen mens, dier en materiaal (en de sferen hiervan). Hierin neem ik ook mijn waarneming (en deels ongerustheid) mee over hoe wij ons als mens verhouden tot de wereld om ons heen. Opzoek naar onbekende contexten en verbindingen om nieuwe sferen of werelden te laten ontstaan waarin andere denk- en leefregels zich kunnen vormen.

Mijn werk kenmerkt zich door het gebruik van diverse media, (varieert van film, installaties, assemblages, foto’s tot tekeningen). Gevonden objecten kunnen ook een uitgangspunt zijn in het werk.

The synthesis between spirit and matter – This is the realm in which my work floats. A continuous thread running through my practice is one of transformation, of life and death, of light, renewal, revival; OUR EXISTENCE. Transformation reveals itself in many forms; from the physical (the material) to the intangible state of BEING.

I explore the relationships between humans, animals, and materials (and their associated realms). This includes my own perception (and partly concern) about how we as humans position ourselves in relation to the world around us. I seek unknown contexts and connections to create new spheres or worlds where alternative ways of thinking and being may unfold.

My work is characterized by the use of mix media – from film, installations, assemblages, to photography and drawing. Found objects can also serve as a starting point for my work.
